For a second I thought I was on Netflix - you know how all their productions lead off with an old woman or kid saying some variation of f*ck a few times, just to show . . . something. Not sure I want to read on.

Sorry that one f-bomb was too much for your delicate sensibilities - I guess you've never had that experience about deciding on dinner. Afraid I can't appreciate the Netflix reference, since I don't subscribe to it.

"reason is its own faith" I like your explanation for this. There is another way it's true as well. All rational thought requires certain assumptions for the logical outcome to be true. Usually the assumptions are fudged, because they aren't completely true or known. Therefore, rationally speaking!, if we don't already have complete a priori knowledge, we can't know if our reasoning is correct. Now we're stuck again.

May this note find us all ever closer to God, and His Peace.

Sounds like you might as well be talking about the USA and control of the dollar and military threat, overusing sanctions and ceasing assets from countries based on neurotic rules, ..

.. like 'community standards guidelines' too vague and varies on topics and who you are, those neurotic rules that train people to stay in the middle of the gov. acceptable Speech, those that our tax and resource supported mind-raping censoring Social-media corp.s do. Sound and seem same - perhaps it is because same powerful family rulers (owners of ADL, BlackRock, Federal Reserve? Gov., Western and Other country controllers?)

Perhaps the Chaos we believe is behind what problem or agreement we need to force into Order we want - regardless of Just or unJust, Is because our Philosophy is unGrounded in Sanity and seeking what was rejected in past?

As a converted Catholic of less than a decade and a Traditionalist of perhaps 3 years, and in my self-directed Catechizing, I see parallels between the rejection of the Truth, Justice, Order based solid anchor that Thomas Aquinas expanded and illuminated through Natural Laws and past Philosophers & Theologists - in Reflecting of Divine Holy Law and our human and Creation's condition - and the Modernist irrational Philosophy started by Descartes onward, all of which are anchorless struggles to find an anchor - the only Anchor, Truth - that they rejected. A parallel between that situation and our social and governing secular situation.

The Catholic Church's 60+ years of Modernist control display similar destruction of Truth, Justice, Order from the top imposing heretical insane changes from those who clearly intended treachery and betrayal of those Offices before taking them and have so distanced themselves from God and His Holy Carisma, Graces, and priority of Holy Ghost that such Offices bring to those with Good intent, and division, scandal and confusion exists that must share much of what Catholic society went through when Modernist Poison and division fragmentations the Protestant revolution had.

Return to the grounded reality where even God can be seen through His movements in us and world.

God Bless., Steve
